INTRO
Tanzanian hip-hop heavyweight Darassa has joined forces with the legendary Queen of Taarab Khadija Kopa on a fresh new collaboration titled "Ye". The track brings together Darassa’s signature Bongo Flava and hip-hop flow with Khadija Kopa’s rich Taarab influence.
STORY BEHIND THE SONG
Released on September 24th, 2026, "Ye" is a cross-generational masterpiece that bridges classic East African Taarab tradition with modern Bongo Flava. Darassa brings his motivational and punchy lyricism while Khadija Kopa adds her commanding vocal presence and signature vocal hooks, giving the song a warm and emotional feel.
